The Eleva-Strum Community Support Network is a group of dedicated volunteers in partnership with several area organizations and agencies providing resource information. Here are the programs we support and help facilitate:
Weekend Meals for Kids
Bags of food inserted discretely in backpacks each Friday to those who qualify and request. Bags are packed and delivered by middle and high school students.
Cardinal Pride Mentors
High School students
meet weekly with elementary students to support
social and academic growth as well as appropriate
role modeling.
Walking Club
An ongoing program in which
Upper Elementary students agree to walk 100 miles
each academic year and are rewarded with medals
and a field trip at year’s end.
Books on the Bus
Older students read to/with younger students to provide reading support as well as time management on bus rides.
Veteran’s Assistance
Provide drivers using VA supported van to Veteran’s with medical appoint ments in Tomah, WI.
Caring Corps
Now operating in partnership with Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Western Dairyland to provide light housekeeping, shopping assistance and friendship to our older citizens.
Food Resources
Food resources available
in our communities and located at Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Strum are the Eleva-Strum Food
Pantry open one Tuesday monthly.
New in 2017,
the Trempealeau County Community Cupboard is
open every 3rd Saturday from 2 - 5 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church. For emergency needs, contact the church at 715-695-3511.
